Course description

Advanced Life Support Level 2 (ALS2) is a 2 day course focusing on developing skills, knowledge, and confidence in managing and leading medical emergencies, including cardiac arrest.    

ALS2 is an ARC accredited course designed for health professionals who work in critical care areas and regularly manage or lead medical emergencies.

Other Course Information

Health professionals working in critical care areas such as doctors and nurses in AAU, CCU, ED, HDU, ICU.  Expected to lead and participate regularly as a team member in acute clinical events.

  • Doctors (Some Interns, RMO to Specialists)
  • Nurses (ideally with two years post-qualification experience)
  • Professional Paramedics
  • Medical Emergency Team Members
  • Clinical Emergency Response System Team Members
  • Resuscitation Team members
  • Critical Care Staff (ED, CCU, ICU etc)

There are no formal pre-requisites for this course. We will send you the Australian Resuscitation Council Advanced Life Support course manual four weeks prior to the course commencement for self-guided pre-reading. Course materials also include an optional multiple-choice exam with answers and explanations supplied for self-assessment

Neat casual clothing and enclosed footwear suitable for safe practice of the skills including hands-on CPR.

Catering is provided throughout the course. We can cater for a range of dietary requirements. Please advise of dietary requirements when enrolling for the course.
