It was a very well organised program and I thoroughly enjoyed the program.

ALS2 course. Could not fault it! The facilitators and instructors very high energy, friendly and approachable and had a suitable amount of knowledge. It was a safe and supportive environment for the 2 days. Venue was great and course participants all amazing. Would highly recommend Parasol to anyone looking to advance their life support skills.

I attended ALS1 at Pullman on the Park with Jolly and Matt as my educators - they were both fantastic! Thanks for a wonderful day. They taught the topics so well, and had a really great sense of humour that made me feel relaxed. I was a bit nervous being a nurse from a small regional hospital who doesn’t see that many arrests but the manual I read prior really set me up well for the topics covered. Jolly and Matt gave some real life scenarios and their knowledge and experiences as professionals really made them wonderful teachers. Food provided was delicious and the environment was really comfortable. Thanks again!

Well presented. Great encouragement when things were done really well and loved the fact the constructive criticism was gentle and not in a degrading way. It was never focussed on one person but a learning curve for the whole team.

The course was very organised and well structured. Our facilitator was very knowledgeable and hands on. She saw each participants "weak spots" and thoroughly and patiently corrected/worked on them. And I think that what made the course different from the other courses I have attended. I thoroughly enjoyed the ALS 2 course that I attended over the weekend. It was challenging but the four instructors were so knowledgeable, highly experienced and always helpful. They made it a great learning experience overall. I was able to refresh my knowledge and practice some new skills. Thank you everyone for your help! I learnt a lot this weekend and enjoyed the practical teaching style. The instructors were very knowledgeable and I appreciated the diverse background- either actively working as doctors or extensive nursing/ paramedic experience. Bodie was an exceptional leader, very calming nature and reassuring in regards to the assessments.

Excellent interactive small groups run by clinicians who are on top of their game and know how to present. Love that it is accredited for 4 years and acknowledged internationally. Thank you for a great day.

Great course, well run and kept to time making sure those with early flights and rostered shifts could get away early. Good teaching and training personnel - all were able to provide personal experience and insights that added value to the manual based curriculum.

Nat that was absolutely fantastic. You actually made blood gases interesting and fun, which blew me away. And that was a marker of the quality of the delivery of this course - really fantastic.

Thank you so much to Vanessa for running a great day while stuck in a tiny room with terrible lights. I usually really dislike these types of sessions, as I am incredibly uncomfortable with being assessed, and being asked to present things on the spot. But Vanessa not only adjusted the schedule to limit the back and forth of moving rooms, and waiting around, she also did a brilliant job of coaching and supporting rather than evaluating and critiquing - while still achieving the learning outcomes! I also appreciated how she both acknowledged and adjusted to the different skill sets and experiences in the room. Great session!

I had the best time on the course. Dale and Nicole made the day really fun and it was very relaxed. This is the best way to learn and I come away from the day revived and grateful. Thank you

Hi there, I attended the ALS2 course recently at Surfers Paradise Novotel and want to thank you and the instructors for an excellent course. To have the opportunity to practice multiple scenarios as team members and as team leader was invaluable and am especially appreciative to all the staff for providing additional time for practice sessions on the morning of the final day.

It was a very full day and I had some idea of the material as I had read the book. Both instructors were able to correct some of my knowledge that was not correct. The food and hotel was outstanding and very comfortable. Both instructors gave good information that was easily understood and got everyone through all the practical training. Can’t wait to do my ALS 2.

An excellent course which contained wonderful and relevant content and gave participants plenty of opportunity to practice skills. I finished more confident in my knowledge and skills than when I started. Our facilitator helped me to overcome my weaknesses whilst complimenting my strengths. When I walked into the rooms in Saturday morning and saw Pat and Alison I instantly relaxed. The lectures were interspersed with real life events of resuscitations (no personal information of course) which made points in the lectures relatable. Pat and Alison were approachable, knowledgeable, friendly, non judgemental and very encouraging. This made the day of learning less stressful and made achieving a pass for the course a positive learning environment. Thank you so much Pat and Alison, you are both shining stars.

The course met my expectations and needs for quality CPD. Your communication throughout was very helpful. Much much more engaging than expected. Just thought it'd be a long, boring, and nerve wracking weekend that would make me feel maybe a little dumb, but knew it'd probably be good for me. Turns out it was a genuinely all round enjoyable experience, one of the more positive medical education experiences I've had. Excellent faculty, each member. Clearly comfortable with each other and their knowledge and this helped us as students feel more at ease. In a similar vein the way in which it was facilitated made the group of participants quickly comfortable with each other. Very supportive bunch of candidates despite varying expertise. I liked that we stayed with the same group for scenarios the next day, as we felt safe/like we could mess up with them if that makes sense. Loved the little games that were brought in. Targeted feedback during practice scenarios was especially useful, and gave me a lot to take into the final assessment. Honestly allowed me to surprise myself. I've done sims involving components of ALS but never a formal course, and it all just seemed consistently above me especially when attending with more senior medical personnel who know what to do. I've never felt like I could be capable of leading in such a situation before. Side note, delicious food and a very fancy "store room" to eat in. In short really glad I did this and through this company. Thank you Nat, Will, Bryan, Fiona, Jess!!! All very knowledgeable and approachable and really went that extra mile to be accessible. Really appreciate all of your efforts!!
